“Jennifer I'm completely awe struck with you and what you did for my family. I can't even put into words how completely grateful, impressed, relieved at how amazing this whole journey played out. You gave my daughter something I never even knew was possible. Thank you seems like not enough gratitude for how I feel after being blessed with this whole experience. You are exactly where you are meant to be, doing the exact work you should be doing. You my friend were born to be a blessing and you are truly creating an incredible experience for these women and us as families, so thank you, a million times, thank you!”

Real Questions from Real Moms
So you can feel confident and informed as you explore your care options.
-
Yes — I’ve received training in breech birth, and while I haven’t attended one personally yet, I’d partner with an experienced midwife for additional support if needed.
-
Yes! I offer two different sizes for home birth. You’ll just need to bring your own liner and a hose.
-
Definitely. Especially for first-time moms or anyone planning an unmedicated birth — doulas offer invaluable support that complements midwifery care.
-
My transfer rate is low. I only recommend transferring care to a hospital when there are clear signs that mom or baby’s safety may be at risk. Your health is always my top priority.
-
In the rare event of transfer during labor or if you become ineligible for out-of-hospital birth, I collaborate with Dr. Tricia Shimer at Medical City Dallas.
Birth & Labor Support
Services & Special Circumstances
-
Not directly, but I’ll recommend great options that align with your birth preferences.
-
I don’t offer sonograms in-house, but I will refer you to trusted providers as needed throughout your care.
-
At this time, I do not provide care for VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) or twin pregnancies. I’d be happy to refer you to a provider who does.
-
I require cash payment for all services, as I’m not in-network with insurance companies. However, I provide a global midwifery superbill that covers everything from prenatal visits through postpartum care. You can submit this to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement — many do reimburse for care by Certified Nurse Midwives.
Holistic Health & Wellness
-
Yes — I can provide care for thyroid issues as long as you don’t require an endocrinologist. We’ll work together to monitor your health and adjust as needed.
-
No, I recommend care with an OB for insulin-dependent diabetes to ensure the best outcomes for you and your baby.
-
We’ll discuss the best option for your body and preferences. I offer several approaches, including standard lab draws and continuous glucose monitoring.
-
I personally use and recommend Shaklee vitamins. We’ll go over what supplements I suggest during your prenatal visits.
If you risk out of birth outside the hospital or require non-emergent transfer during labor, birth, or postpartum, I collaborate with Dr. Tricia Shimer, who I will refer you to. She delivers at Medical City Dallas. I do not have privileges at this time, but I may still be able to assist you during birth.
